Classified-Exempt Position
Parks and Recreation/North Bend State Park Under general supervision at the full performance level, this employee performs work at North Bend State Park as a lead worker in the housekeeping department. This employee will oversee scheduling and reviewing the work of the housekeeping staff. Employee will be responsible for housekeeping staff training, and will have some latitude to vary methods, procedures, or equipment used. This employee will be a working supervisor and will perform similar and/or related tasks as required. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: dust and clean furniture, woodwork, walls, and windows; sweep and mop floors; gather and dispose of refuse; keep public bathrooms clean and stocked; keep lodge guest rooms and cabins clean, stocked and ready for incoming guests; this includes bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchens; maintains inventory of supplies and linens, including record of linen use; organizes and ensures timely ordering; completes time reports and other appropriate paperwork; and trains, schedules, assigns, oversees and reviews the work of other housekeeping employees including inspecting rooms after cleaning to ensure that all rooms are clean, stocked and ready to be rented to park guests. Performs related duties as required. Regular attendance is required. Employee will be required to wear appropriate uniform.
Training: Ability to pass a written test at the eighth grade level.
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in housekeeping or related work, at least one year of which must have been in an institutional or recreational setting.
