The Housekeeper Team Leader is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, ensuring high-quality cleaning standards, and coordinating daily cleaning operations. The role involves hands-on cleaning work, team management, and direct communication with clients and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Team Supervision
- Lead, guide, and support housekeeping staff during daily cleaning assignments.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure all team members follow company standards.
- Conduct on-site training for new cleaners and reinforce proper cleaning techniques.
- Ensure punctuality, proper uniform, and professional conduct of all staff.
Quality Control
- Inspect completed work to ensure cleanliness meets company and client expectations.
- Perform spot checks and follow-up inspections throughout the day.
- Report any issues, damages, or client concerns to the supervisor or operations manager.
Operational Duties
- Assist in actual cleaning tasks when necessary.
- Maintain record of daily attendance, site deployment, and task completion.
- Manage cleaning materials and inventory; ensure team has required supplies.
- Ensure the safe and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Communication
- Coordinate with clients regarding cleaning schedules, site requirements, and special instructions.
- Relay updates, concerns, or complaints to management promptly.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve team efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years housekeeping experience; previous team leader/supervisor experience is an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
- Physically fit and able to perform cleaning tasks when required.
- Trustworthy, responsible, and detail-oriented.
