Housekeeping

Job Description:

Implement facility housekeeping procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements. This position is a safety sensitive position as defined by applicable state law.

Physical Requirements of Job:

· Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, pushing and pulling, fine hand coordination, ability to understand follow written and oral instructions and directions; ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel, vendors and consultants; ability to distinguish smells, taste, and temperatures; and the ability to remain calm under stress.

Responsibilities:

· Assuring resident safety.

· Implement housekeeping policies and procedures to meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

· Participate in the monitoring system for the housekeeping department.

· Notify supervisor when supplies are needed, equipment is in need of repair or when areas of the facility are in need of repair.

· Use housekeeping supplies efficiently.

· Follow material safety data sheets.

· Operate housekeeping equipment safely. Assist in proper care of housekeeping equipment. Identify and report any equipment malfunction to supervisor.

· Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.

· Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.

· To observe infection control procedures at all times.

· These duties and responsibilities are not a comprehensive list, and additional task may be assigned from time to time. The scope of this position may change as necessitated by business demands.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
