Housekeeping & Administration In-charge

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Housekeeping & Administration In-charge is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations while ensuring smooth administrative coordination across the organization. This role ensures that the premises remain clean, organized, safe, and operationally efficient at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor housekeeping and janitorial staff to ensure high standards of
  • cleanliness and discipline.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and duty rosters.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of classrooms, offices, corridors, and common areas.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning materials and office supplies.
  • Coordinate with electrician, plumber, and other maintenance staff for timely repairs.
  • Maintain attendance records and performance monitoring of support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, or
  • a related field (Master’s degree will be preferred).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in administration, facility management,
  • or housekeeping supervision, preferably in an educational institution or large
  • organization.
  • Proven experience in managing support staff, preparing duty rosters, and monitoring
  • performance.
  • Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, inventory control, and workplace safety
  • standards.
  • Ability to handle vendor coordination and maintenance contracts.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic administrative documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
