General cleaning and maintenance
- Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Dust furniture, surfaces, and fixtures.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Empty trash and replace liners.
- Polish furniture and clean windows.
Laundry and linen management
- Change and replace bed linens and towels.
- Wash, dry, and iron linens and clothing, if applicable.
- Restock the linen room and housekeeping carts.
Supplies and inventory
- Restock guest amenities like toiletries and supplies.
- Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning products and supplies.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is clean, properly stored, and in good working order.
Safety, security, and reporting
- Report any maintenance, safety hazards, or damage to management.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Handle guest requests and lost and found items according to procedures.
Other duties
- Some roles, especially private housekeeping, may also include cooking, grocery shopping, pet care, or coordinating with other staff.
