Job Description
- Overall cleaning of guestrooms including dusting, making beds, removing soiled linen, retrieving clean linen, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenishing rooms with supplies, etc., following brand standards.
- Assist and coordinate with other departments and manage housekeeping tasks when required.
- Use cleaning in progress sign and keep doors closed at all times when making up rooms.
- Call room service for removal of trays or trolleys.
- Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Take accurate room status reports at the end of the shift.
- Keep linen closets, supply closets and landing organized and clean.
- Report any problems or questions to the supervisor assigned to your floor.
- Offer assistance to guests and colleagues in a courteous manner.
- Use safe lifting techniques for heavy objects.
- Secure lost and found items by turning them over to security.
- Handle rooms that do not require service, DND, or are not slept in on the assigned floor.
- Report mattress protectors, blankets, bedspreads and valances that need changing to the floor housekeeper.
- Notify housekeeping office or security of any suspicious person.
- Signal any health & safety hazards.
- Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards.
- Clean all equipment and report any malfunction.
- Read, understand and follow all department policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel housekeeping department (preferably 5 star property).
- Proactive with meticulous eye for detail.
- Dynamic, energetic, creative and thrives under pressure.

- English & Arabic speaking preferably.
