Job Summary
A hotel housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and organized guest rooms and public areas to ensure a positive guest experience. This role requires attention to detail, time management, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Change bed linens and replace towels and toiletries
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust rooms and public spaces
- Restock room supplies such as soap, shampoo, coffee, and tissues
- Report maintenance issues or damaged items to supervisors
- Follow hotel safety and sanitation standards
- Respond to guest requests politely and promptly
- Handle lost-and-found items according to hotel policy
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good physical stamina; ability to stand, bend, lift, and walk for long periods
- Attention to detail and reliability
- Basic communication skills
