Housekeeping Coordinator

Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of everything that you will do. Al Habtoor Team Members will always endeavor to find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Your key responsibilities for this position are:

  • To adhere to grooming standards at all times.
  • To maintain and enforce all standards and procedures for Housekeeping service.
  • To follow and maintain all standards and procedures for Housekeeping.
  • Communicate with Front Office to ensure all rooms are assigned and blocked accordingly.
  • Ensure that all necessary rooms are allocated for cleaning and maintain an accurate record of all uncovered rooms including DND’s.
  • To liaise with Front Office and Housekeeping Supervisors regarding status of the guestrooms to ensure they are ready and inspected on time for guests arrival.
  • Ensures all Senior Housekeeping staff informed of any emergency and regular updates.
  • Coordinate requests from various departments and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Directs and requests to the appropriate staff and follows up to ensure it has been completed.
  • Records all follow up’s required in a log book for recording purposes.
  • Keeps accurate records in an organized manner that other staff are able to find easily when required, in all forms such as, computer, files, log books, etc.
  • Assists with inventories and tabulations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all the maintenance defects are recorded and entered into the system and follow up with Engineering Department.
  • Follow up with Housekeeping Supervisors to ensure rooms are ready for arrival guests and preferences eg. Extra bed, baby cot, etc. has been placed accordingly.
  • Prepare daily task assignments for Housekeeping Attendants and daily reports for Supervisors, Assistants and Assistant / Director of Housekeeping.
  • Prepares weekly attendance report and any necessary PSA’s.
  • Ensure Housekeeping store is adequately stocked and maintained of amenities, supplies, cleaning supplies, kids’ amenities and other operating supplies.
  • Prepare store requisitions and purchase requests when the stocks are below par levels in Housekeeping stores or when requested.
  • Maintain a diary to follow service schedules / appointments for follow up.
  • To assist in preparing flower requisitions.
  • To be informative by transferring all information from other sections or other departments especially information about guest request, room changes, etc.
  • Summarizing training reports for the department.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency in all assigned tasks.
  • To answer the telephone within 3 rings as per the Resorts standard, deal with guest requests and relay messages promptly to the relevant person for prompt action. Answer guest queries and take messages.
  • To liaise with contractors, carpet cleaners, furniture repairers and other trades people.
  • To co-ordinate rooms planned for maintenance with Engineering Department.
  • To maintain the notice boards in the Housekeeping Office.
  • To keep office tidy and organized at all times.
  • To handle all Lost and Found according to the policy and procedure.
  • To carry out other reasonable requests made by Managers, including relief work in other areas of the Housekeeping Department.
  • To keep up-to-date all files in the Housekeeping Office.
  • To adhere to all Resort Policies and Procedures.
  • To know Fire / Bomb procedures and regulations.
  • To report to your Manager or Security anything or anyone suspicious.
  • To report as appropriate any Health and Safety hazards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
