Houseperson at Cheeca Lodge & Spa
Join Our Team:
Northwood Hospitality LLC, operating Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada, FL, is looking for dedicated and detail-oriented Housepersons to support our housekeeping team. Be part of a dynamic work environment and contribute to creating a memorable guest experience in the beautiful Florida Keys.
Key Responsibilities:

Support Housekeepers: Assist housekeepers by stocking supply closets and ensuring they have the necessary supplies to maintain cleanliness and order.

Room Preparation: Strip rooms of used linens and prepare them for housekeeping staff to clean and set up for new guests.

Laundry Assistance: Transport used linens to the laundry facility and ensure they are properly handled.

Trash Management: Empty trash bins in guest rooms and common areas, ensuring the resort remains clean and welcoming.

General Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, and other common areas by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as needed.

Chemical Use: Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.

Security: Ensure the security of any assigned keys and beepers.

Assignment Review: Review assignment sheets, update completed assignments, and check with the supervisor and housekeeping office for additional tasks throughout the shift.

Closet Maintenance: Check assigned floor closets, complete linen requisitions, and maintain cleanliness and organization.

Furniture and Fixtures: Inspect and clean all furniture, lamps, light fixtures, switches, and other fixtures. Report damages to the supervisor.

Surface Cleaning: Clean windows, mirrors, pictures, frames, and other surfaces, removing dust, spots, and smears.

Trash and Debris: Remove trash, debris, and cobwebs from balconies, patios, and public areas. Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns.

Equipment Handling: Use designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment to clean various floor surfaces. Empty and clean vacuum cleaner bags and machines.

Guest Requests: Provide timely delivery of items requested by guests and retrieve items from guest rooms to return to proper storage areas.

Laundry and Dry Cleaning: Transport guest laundry and dry cleaning to the correct guest rooms.
Requirements:

Attention to Detail: Ability to notice and address areas that need cleaning or maintenance.

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and transporting linens and supplies.

Team Player: Willingness to support housekeeping staff and work collaboratively to ensure guest satisfaction.
