Housekeeping Houseperson

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Houseperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness across our property, ensuring a welcoming and pristine environment for guests and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or hospitality to contribute to a high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Duties

• Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable
• Assist with hotel housekeeping operations by replenishing supplies and ensuring rooms meet quality standards
• Handle custodial responsibilities including waste disposal and restocking amenities in guest rooms and common areas
• Support janitorial and industrial cleaning tasks as needed, maintaining a high level of hygiene throughout the property
• Assist with housekeeping management duties such as inventory control of cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance issues
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used properly and maintained in good working condition
• Follow safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or hospitality preferred; hotel experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to handle custodial equipment safely and responsibly
• Experience in industrial or commercial cleaning environments is advantageous
• Previous housekeeping experience is beneficial but not required
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or holidays if necessary.

This can be either a part time or full time position depending on what works best for the employee - however - Sunday availability if required. Shifts start 9am. The end time varies based on hotel occupancy but is typically around 4pm.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
