Job Description

Supervise and train housekeeping staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance.

Create and maintain work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.

Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and foster a positive work environment.

Resolve staff conflicts and address performance issues in a timely and professional manner.

Motivate and encourage team members to achieve high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

Inspect assigned areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to established standards.

Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.

Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment.

Address and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping services.

Maintain knowledge of and enforce safety and sanitation procedures.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, inventory, and staff schedules.

Prepare and submit reports on housekeeping activities and performance.

Assist in the development and implementation of housekeeping policies and procedures.

Manage budgets related to housekeeping supplies and equipment.

Perform regular inspections of rooms and common areas.

Ensure that customer service is a high priority for all members of the housekeeping staff.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.

Proven experience in housekeeping, with supervisory experience preferred.
