Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Conduct regular inspections to verify cleaning quality, floor care standards, and adherence to safety protocols
• Train new team members on cleaning procedures, equipment use, and hospitality standards
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and ordering needs to ensure seamless operations
• Implement industrial cleaning techniques when necessary for large-scale or specialized cleaning projects
• Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all staff members
• Collaborate with other departments to address guest requests promptly and resolve any cleanliness issues efficiently

Experience

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial supervision within the hospitality industry
• Strong background in cleaning techniques, including floor care and industrial cleaning methods
• Knowledge of janitorial equipment, supplies, and safety procedures
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with hospitality standards and guest service expectations is highly desirable
• Previous experience overseeing custodial or janitorial teams in large facilities or hotels is preferred
