Position Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments at Coastal Landing and Coastal Shores. This position ensures that both communities maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The supervisor will lead housekeeping and laundry personnel, monitor quality standards, manage supplies, and ensure compliance with all facility policies and health regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping and laundry operations for both Coastal Landing and Coastal Shores.
• Schedule, train, and oversee housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms, common areas, laundry areas, and other facility spaces to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Ensure proper sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Monitor inventory levels and order housekeeping and laundry supplies as needed.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new employees within the department.
• Address and resolve housekeeping or laundry concerns from residents, families, and staff in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs or maintenance requests when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations related to housekeeping and laundry services.
• Work collaboratively with administration and other department heads to maintain a positive resident experience.
• Participate in departmental meetings and staff development activities.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, laundry, hospitality, healthcare, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, staff, and management.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, infection control, and laundry operations preferred.
• Ability to multitask and manage staff across multiple locations.
• Reliable transportation between Coastal Landing and Coastal Shores required.
• Must be dependable, professional, and able to work independently.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the facilities for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
• Ability to safely operate housekeeping and laundry equipment.
