Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, laundry, and custodial tasks, to ensure timely and thorough service delivery
• Lead, motivate, and train housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces regularly to verify quality standards are met or exceeded
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to ensure smooth operations
• Enforce health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures
• Develop work schedules for housekeeping staff to optimize coverage and efficiency
• Address guest requests or concerns promptly to guarantee satisfaction and resolve issues effectively

Requirements

• Proven supervising experience in housekeeping or custodial management within a hotel or hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, commercial cleaning equipment, laundry processes, and janitorial best practices
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inspecting cleanliness standards
• Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence
• Ability to manage inventory, schedules, and operational workflows efficiently
• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping management or hospitality is highly preferred
