About the opportunity
The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the housekeeping department, overseeing the daily cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

What you'll get to do

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure all areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and report any maintenance issues
• Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, ordering replacements as needed
• Train and develop new housekeeping staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any issues promptly

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays, and to be on call to respond to emergencies
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel management systems
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols
• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and to stand for long periods of time
