The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the housekeeping team to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to hotel standards. The role ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining high levels of hygiene, presentation, and service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations.
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Assign daily tasks and room allocations to housekeeping attendants.
- Train, coach, and motivate housekeeping staff.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health & safety, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor and control housekeeping supplies and inventory.
- Report maintenance issues to the Engineering department.
- Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Prepare daily reports (room status, discrepancies, lost & found, etc.).
- Ensure proper handling of linen, uniforms, and cleaning equipment.
- Support in scheduling, attendance monitoring, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and flexible shifts.
