Role Summary
The Housekeeping Team Leader at voco Dubai The Palm will supervise housekeeping operations, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and service spaces meet the hotel s cleanliness and presentation standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to train and guide a multicultural team to deliver service excellence in line with voco  brand values.
 
What You ll Do
 
* Supervise room attendants to maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas
* Inspect rooms to release into  Inspected  status and prepare for VIP arrivals or group delegations
* Ensure room attendant trolleys are stocked, organized, and ready for service
* Monitor service stations and par stock levels to support smooth operations
* Follow up on guest requests,  Do Not Disturb  rooms, and urgent housekeeping tasks
* Report and coordinate maintenance requests with the engineering team
* Oversee cleaning schedules for curtains, upholstery, and under-furniture areas
* Maintain control of keys, equipment, chemicals, and supplies to prevent wastage
* Support training, certification, and skill development of housekeeping staff
* Liaise with Front Office, Laundry, and Engineering for efficient operations
* Ensure lost and found items are promptly reported and recorded
* Plan rosters and cleaning schedules to optimize productivity during varying occupancy levels
* Uphold health, safety, hygiene, and fire safety procedures at all times
 
Ideal Profile
 
* 1 2 years of experience as a Housekeeping Team Leader or similar role in a 4- or 5-star hotel in the UAE
* Proficiency with Opera hotel systems
* Strong organizational and technical housekeeping knowledge
* Detail-oriented with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality
* A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a passion for service excellence
