Houseperson / Shuttle Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Shuttle Driver / Houseperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting guests safely and efficiently between the Hampton Inn Redmond Bend Airport and the Redmond Municipal Airport. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and driving laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maneuver our airport shuttle in a safe and defensive manner. It will also require assisting guests with the loading of luggage in and out of the shuttle, and performing basic houseperson cleaning duties around the hotel between shuttle trips. Responsibilities

• Safely operate shuttle vehicles to transport guests between locations.
• Load and unload guest luggage at each destination.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules, routes, and any issues that may arise during transport.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, including mileage and fuel usage.
• Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing basic maintenance on vehicles as needed.
• Be engaging and friendly with any/all guests.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and management.
• A passion for customer service and delivering exceptional experiences to our guests
• Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading luggage and materials
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Willingness to maintain cleanliness in public spaces throughout the interior and exterior of the building between shuttle trips
