Position Summary
The Housing Operations Coordinator is a mission-critical role that serves as the primary engine for department revenue and student onboarding. This position directly manages the high-volume of housing applications, contract execution, and roommate matching—processes that are essential to meeting occupancy goals.
Beyond administrative tasks, this role acts as the vital strategic link between UNO Housing and Scott Residential Management (SRM). By overseeing the seamless transfer of student data for SRM leasing, this position ensures institutional continuity and prevents placement errors. As we enter the peak summer cycle, this coordinator is indispensable for mitigating operational risks and ensuring a seamless move-in experience for the incoming cohort

Duties:
Organize and process housing applications; create housing reports as needed; assign students to villages for placement, track deposits and activity fees, manage contract cancellations and replacements.

Duties:
Coordinate, create and adapt Housing & Residence Life marketing campaigns and recruitment efforts to meet student needs and current marketing trends. Plan a yearly event schedule that includes virtual and in-person opportunities for students, their families, and the community.

Send and Receive Housing Contracts\

Duties:
Send and receive all student housing contracts for University and Maverick Villages; plan roommate placements considering a variety of criteria to meet student needs; and create and evaluate effective communication with student residents and their families. Create and coordinate renewal contracts for residents, and work with summer interns and groups to accommodate housing needs.

Coordinate with StarCare and UNO technical support on StarRez Portal troubleshooting and maintenance; run StarRez database reports as needed; and initiate conversations for process improvement.

Duties:
Supervise the Housing Residence Life Office Assistant and create a schedule to support department communication, clerical duties, and housing tracking systems. Supervise and schedule the student workers staffing the front desk at University Village Clubhouse and Maverick Village Clubhouse Housing Offices. Create and lead training sessions as needed.
