POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Woodson YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility by being an important member of the Finance, HR, and Admin Team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting:
- Reviews, enters and issues payment on all invoices using the policies and guidelines in place.
- W-9 Requests
- Processes 1099's at year end.
- Reconciles bank deposits with the operation and financial systems, to ensure accurate records and good internal controls.
- Assists with month end
- Assists with annual audit.
- Assists with budget process
- Helps keep track of allocated board designated funds through project completion.
- Sales Tax Reporting
- Assist with the review and audit of monthly credit card transactions.
HR and Payroll:- Full Cycle Recruiting Process
- On-Boarding and Off-Boarding Process.
- Backup for Bi-Weekly Payroll Processing
- Complete and Post General Ledger Entries for Payroll.
- Benefit Invoice Audits.
- Supports the team by assisting employees with questions.
Admin/Misc.:- Gathers Information and Schedules Board Meetings.
- Administration duties as needed for the CEO.
- Acts as a back-up and support for other HR/Finance team members’ tasks.
- All other duties and projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Accounting, HR, or a combined role
- Hands-on experience processing payroll, working knowledge of a HRIS system a plus.
- Be trustworthy, thorough, and courteous with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
