This position will provide support in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, records management, employee relations, and reporting.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide support in full-cycle recruiting for the local manufacturing facility.
  • Assist in screening, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates for open positions.
  • Assist in coordinating and conducting employee orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Organize and maintain personnel records, enter new employee data, and update previous employee data in internal HR databases.
  • Distribute various HR communications.
  • Support in the implementation and execution of training programs.
  • Provide assistance in administering various HR plans and procedures for company personnel, including FMLA protocols and workers compensation-related instances.
  • SAP data entry including training, entering new temps, term temps, and PRQs.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Handle administrative functions including copying, scanning, and mailing required documents.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP to maintain a safe and hygienic workplace.
  • Perform additional HR functions as assigned to support the department’s success.

Job Requirements:
  • Associate's degree is preferred; one (1) to three (3) years of administrative assistance experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as be a strong team player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when in the plant and warehouse areas. PPE will include safety shoes, eye and ear protection, reflective vests and hairnets or hats along with any other necessary protection. Temperatures in the plant/warehouse can range a great deal from season to season. The employee will be exposed to considerable paper dust and employees will also be exposed to noise levels that will require hearing protection.
