We're looking for a diligent and process-oriented

Assistant HR - Payroll & Admin Operations

Executive to support the smooth functioning of our people operations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in payroll management, statutory compliances, and administrative

coordination, ensuring that all HR processes run seamlessly and in alignment with company policies.

This role requires strong attention to detail, discretion in handling confidential information, and the ability to balance compliance with a people-first approach.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing through HRMS (preferably Keka) with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage salary structure updates, variable pay, reimbursements, and full & final settlements.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team for inputs, deductions, reconciliations, and audit support.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance across all payroll transactions.

Compliance & Statutory Requirements

  • Ensure timely filing and compliance with PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, and TDS regulations.
  • Maintain statutory registers, employee records, and compliance trackers.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws advice management accordingly.
  • ⁠Liaise with consultants/auditors for audits and statutory submissions

HR Operations

  • Maintain accurate employee data in HRMS including onboarding, confirmations, exits, and documentation.
  • Track attendance and leave records; ensure policy adherence and record accuracy.
  • Support in drafting HR letters, contracts, and reports as required.

Administration

  • Manage day-to-day office operations including vendor coordination, housekeeping, travel arrangements, and asset management.
  • Support smooth workplace functioning and assist in logistics for employee activities and engagement events.

What You'll Bring

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, and statutory compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in HRMS tools (preferably Keka) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong sense of ownership, confidentiality, and process discipline.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and an ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
