Job Summary
The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role assists with day-to-day HR activities including recruitment support, employee records management, onboarding, attendance tracking, and employee engagement initiatives. The HR Assistant ensures HR processes run efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
- Maintain and update employee records, personnel files, and HR databases.
- Assist with preparation and distribution of HR documents such as appointment letters, confirmation letters, and employment contracts.
- Manage employee attendance, leave records, and HR trackers.
- Ensure confidentiality of all employee-related information.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support recruitment activities including job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination.
- Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates regarding interview logistics.
- Assist with onboarding processes for new hires, including documentation, orientation coordination, and system access setup.
Employee Support
- Act as a point of contact for employee HR-related queries.
- Assist in coordinating employee engagement activities, training sessions, and company events.
- Support performance management processes such as appraisal documentation and follow-ups.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure HR practices comply with company policies and applicable labor laws.
- Assist in preparing HR reports, presentations, and dashboards as required.
- Support internal audits and HR compliance checks when needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in an HR or administrative role (freshers may apply)
- Oil and Gas experience is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of HR processes and labor laws is preferred.
