Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department in various administrative and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of human capital management principles. This role is essential for ensuring smooth HR operations, fostering employee relations, and assisting with talent acquisition processes.
Duties
- Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Support employee orientation and onboarding processes to ensure a positive experience for new hires.
- Maintain accurate employee records
- Facilitate employee evaluations and performance management processes.
- Help manage FMLA requests and workers' compensation claims in compliance with employment and labor laws.
- Assist with training & development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Collect data for affirmative action planning and succession planning initiatives.
- Provide administrative support for HR projects, including data collection and reporting.
Qualifications
- Experience with payroll systems like ADP or Paylocity is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
- Familiarity with social media management for recruitment purposes is advantageous.
