We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Assistant with a strong understanding of labour laws, statutory compliance, and employee relations to join our team in Trivandrum Head office at Anayara . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment in facilities sector , addressing labour issues, and ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations in the facilities management sector.
Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment:
- Handle end-to-end recruitment for various roles (housekeeping, security, maintenance, technical, admin, etc.).
- Coordinate with operations teams to understand manpower requirements.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates from different job portals, agencies, and local networks.
- Conduct background verification and documentation before onboarding.
- Maintain candidate databases and recruitment MIS.
2. Labour Cases & Employee Relations:
- Manage and resolve labour grievances and disputes in compliance with labour laws.
- Liaise with legal advisors and labour officers for case hearings, settlements, or negotiations.
- Represent the company in conciliation proceedings and labour court (if required).
- Maintain discipline and promote positive employee relations across sites.
- Conduct periodic employee meetings to address concerns and reinforce compliance culture.
3. Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure 100% compliance with applicable statutory laws, including:
- ESI, PF, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages, Contract Labour Act, etc.
- Coordinate with contractors/vendors to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
- Handle inspections and audits from labour department, ESI, PF officers, etc.
- Timely filing of returns and maintenance of statutory registers and records.
- Update management on any changes in labour laws affecting business operations.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Indian Labour Laws and Kerala-specific regulations.
- Familiarity with statutory compliance platforms (e.g., Shram Suvidha Portal, EPFO/ESIC portals).
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in Malayalam and English (written and verbal) is mandatory.
- Ability to handle field recruitment and site-level grievance redressal.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
