HR Assistant (Leave Management & Attendance)

Job Summary

The HR & Payroll Support Officer is responsible for managing employee attendance, leave administration, leave balance monitoring, and supporting payroll processing activities. The role ensures accurate employee records, timely reporting, and smooth coordination between HR and payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain daily employee attendance records.
  • Track employee absenteeism, lateness, and overtime records.
  • Manage employee leave applications, approvals, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate leave balances including annual leave, sick leave, and unpaid leave.
  • Coordinate with department heads regarding attendance and leave discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly attendance and leave reports for payroll processing.
  • Support the Payroll Specialist in payroll preparation and verification.
  • Ensure accurate updating of employee records in HR and payroll systems.
  • Assist in resolving payroll-related queries related to attendance and leave.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and HR information.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
  • Support HR administrative tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR administration or payroll support.
  • Knowledge of attendance and leave management procedures.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and HR systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office applications.
