RAO Packaging Buyer/Inventory Control Specialist Purchasing

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Packaging Buyer/ Inventory Control Specialist will track, manage and order all packaging materials for the locations assigned to them. They will also be responsible for the maintenance of the Track and Trace System.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor ordering and storage of inventory
• Work with receiving department managers to ensure necessary items are in stock
• Constantly working to reduce warehousing costs
• Maintain and implement comprehensive policies and procedures for inventory control to manage the flow of supplies and merchandise

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s Degree desired
• Must be able to work independently.
• A person who is able to multi-task is a plus.
• Communication with your supervisor is very important.
• Ability to treat co-workers with respect and courtesy.
• Ability to deal with customers professionally.
• Possess good decision making skills.
• Position will include 6-8 hours daily sitting
• Must be able to type and use standard office equipment.
• Must be fluent in using a computer and basic computer programs (Excel, Word, etc.)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres.
• Must be willing and able to work past the scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed.
• Must possess the ability to work in an open office setting.
• Must maintain professionalism with coworkers.
