Duties and responsibilities
Administer day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), and other voluntary benefits).
Serve as the main point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing timely and accurate information and resolving issues with care and professionalism.
Assist with new hire benefits orientation and ensure accurate benefits enrollment.
Coordinate annual open enrollment, including communications, system setup, and employee assistance.
Maintain and audit benefits data in HRIS and benefits platforms to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
Process life event changes, terminations, COBRA notifications, and other benefits-related updates.
Collaborate with insurance brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators to resolve claims or service issues.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations such as ERISA, ACA, FMLA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
Support benefits reporting, invoicing, and reconciliation of carrier bills.
Assist with wellness initiatives and employee engagement related to benefits offerings.
