🎯 Job Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in aligning business objectives with people strategies for assigned functions or business units. Acting as both a strategic advisor to leadership and a trusted partner to employees , the HRBP supports organizational goals through workforce planning, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.

This role requires data-driven decision-making , strong business acumen , and the ability to influence stakeholders. At NxtWave, HRBPs are not only enablers of culture and performance but also key drivers of AI-powered HR transformation — leveraging technology to automate workflows, enhance employee experience, and deliver predictive insights.

💼 Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic People Alignment
  • Partner with business leaders to align workforce strategy with organizational goals.
  • Support manpower planning, talent mobility, and succession planning.
  • Employee Engagement & Experience
  • Design and implement initiatives to enhance engagement, morale, and retention.
  • Conduct stay interviews, pulse surveys, and feedback sessions.
  • Performance & Talent Management
  • Drive the performance review process, ensuring fairness, calibration, and accountability.
  • Identify high-potential employees and support career pathing and L&D initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Insights & Reporting
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends in attrition, performance, and engagement.
  • Generate actionable insights and dashboards for business and HR leadership.
  • Grievance Resolution & Employee Relations
  • Proactively manage employee relations issues with empathy and compliance.
  • Investigate grievances, mediate conflicts, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Manager Effectiveness & Coaching
  • Coach managers on people practices, feedback culture, and team development.
  • Strengthen leadership capabilities to foster trust, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Policy Interpretation & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, labor laws, and ethical standards.
  • Update HR processes and documentation to align with evolving legal requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with HR CoEs (Recruitment, L&D, Compensation, etc.) to deliver integrated HR solutions.
  • Collaborate with business and tech teams to drive process automation and digital transformation.

🧠 Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; MBA or BBA in Human Resources preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in HR Business Partnering or HR Generalist roles.
  • Experience in the EdTech or fast-paced startup ecosystem preferred.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one regional language — Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, or Hindi (role-specific regional hiring).

  • Experience in employee engagement frameworks and organizational development.
  • Familiarity with HRMS, ATS, and people analytics tools.
