HR Business Partner

The Human Resources Business Partner is accountable for consultation and support of the Exponential Technology Group (XTG) designated business units to define and execute HR strategies that enable accomplishment of business objectives. This role will be responsible for staffing, employee relations, policy and legal compliance, performance management, employee development, and employee and management coaching for all business units under area of responsibility. Assist the Manager of Human Resources with strategy, policy development/implementation and project management.

The Exponential Technology Group (XTG) is a specialist in the electronic component distribution and design engineering services industries. XTG is part of the TTI Family of Specialists. This position will be onsite in North Fort Worth, with the opportunity to work from home two (2) days a week after the initial 90-day training period.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provide human resources consultation and support to designated business units to define and execute HR strategies that enable accomplishment of business objectives.

Assist assigned business units with staffing requirements as needed including recruiting strategy development, candidate sourcing, interviewing, offer development and preparation, and on-boarding assistance.

Accountable for effective employee relations, management and employee coaching, and performance management for all assigned business units.

Assist Manager of Human Resources with Human Resources policies and practices to ensure ethical, legal, fair and consistent handling of all employee-related matters.

Personally coach leaders to consistently apply policies to facilitate positive employee relations, legal compliance, and a positive company image in the business community.

Build effective business partnerships with organizational leaders by developing a solid understanding of the business, business issues and by seeking to recommend, develop and implement human resources solutions that assists the organization in meeting its strategies and goals.

Act as an organizational change agent by continually taking the organization’s pulse regarding change initiatives, remaining up-to-date about tools, techniques, and practices of change management. Assist with influencing and driving organizational change initiatives in support of business strategies.

Utilize tools, systems & resources effectively to analyze employee data, develop solutions and provide support to meet internal customer needs that ensure strong cross-functional communication.

Assist Manager of Human Resources with projects as needed, including but not limited to, legal compliance related projects.

Additional duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Human Resources or Business) or equivalent combination of education/work experience is required. Five plus years professional Human Resources experience is required. Experience in distribution or electronics manufacturing is an added plus.


SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • HR Business Partner experience highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT) at the intermediate level. Ability to effectively learn and manage various systems used in HR environment. Experience with UKG Pro is a plus.
  • A professional level certification from SHRM or HRCI is desirable. If this certification is not held at the time of hire it should be obtained within the first three years in the position. Once attained, on-going continuing education is required to maintain certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to provide data and reports for government compliance, management information, continuous improvement recommendations and other needs as determined by the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with various levels of leadership within the organization.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to human resource practices and procedures. Knowledge &/or experience with California employment laws is a plus.
