HR Business Partner - Learning & Organizational Development

Position Purpose

The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and institutionalizing training, organizational development, leadership capability, and AI-enabled learning interventions across Interwood.

This position acts as a hands-on internal OD partner, ensuring people capability, leadership readiness, cultural alignment, and future skills development in line with Interwood’s manufacturing, retail, corporate sales, and support functions.

Key Responsibilities1. Training & Capability Development
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across all functions including:
    • Manufacturing (Wood, Boards, Metal, Upholstery, Polish)
    • Retail Sales & Showrooms
    • Corporate Sales
    • Support Functions

  • Design and deploy role-based learning pathways for:
    • Shop-floor and frontline employees
    • Supervisors and first-time managers
    • Middle management
    • Senior leadership
    • Develop practical, SOP-based learning content, toolkits, job aids, and micro-learning modules.
    • Manage external trainers and institutions where required, ensuring ROI and relevance.

2. Organizational Development
  • Support organization structuring initiatives including:
    • Role clarity
    • Job architecture
    • Span of control reviews

  • Develop and institutionalize competency frameworks aligned with:
    • Manufacturing excellence
    • Retail & customer experience
    • Leadership and people management
    • Succession planning
    • Talent reviews
    • Hi-potential identification and development

  • Support change management initiatives during:
    • Organizational restructuring
    • Leadership transitions
    • System and process implementations

3. Leadership & Culture Development
  • Design and execute Leadership Development Programs (LDPs) aligned with Interwood’s values, culture, and business priorities.
  • Build manager capability in:
    • Performance conversations
    • Feedback and coaching
    • Team effectiveness
  • Embed cultural behaviors across the organization through structured interventions.

4. AI-Enabled Learning & OD Interventions
  • Design and implement AI-enabled learning solutions, including:
    • AI-assisted content creation (micro-learning, role-specific learning aids)
    • AI-based skill and capability diagnostics
    • Personalized learning journeys by role/function

  • Use AI tools to support:
    • Training Needs Analysis
    • Leadership capability assessments
    • Performance-linked learning interventions
  • Partner with HR and business teams to embed AI into leadership and OD programs as a productivity and capability enabler.
  • Promote basic AI literacy across managers and teams through structured learning initiatives.
  • Measure effectiveness of AI-driven interventions using learning uptake, skill improvement, and business impact indicators.

5. Performance Enablement & HRBP Partnership
  • Work closely with HRBPs to:
    • Translate performance gaps into targeted learning interventions
    • Support Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) through coaching and capability building
    • Support workforce capability planning aligned with business priorities.

6. Governance, Measurement & Reporting
  • Establish and manage:
    • Annual training calendars
    • Learning dashboards
    • Training effectiveness metrics
    • Ensure documentation, records, and audit readiness of all learning and OD initiatives.
    • Provide structured updates to HR Head and leadership on capability development progress.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Psychology, Management, or related field
  • Engineering background with OD exposure is a strong advantage for manufacturing alignment
Experience
  • 8-10 years of experience in Training, Organizational Development, or Learning & Development
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, retail, FMCG, or multi-site organizations
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing AI-based learning or OD interventions
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into practical people solutions
