SUMMARY:
The HR Compliance Intern supports PACE Southeast Michigan’s HR team with a short-term document and data migration project. This role is responsible for transferring employee records from a legacy HR system to a new platform while ensuring accuracy, organization, and data confidentiality.
This position provides hands-on experience with HR systems, data management, and compliance processes, supporting the organization’s transition to Workday.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

Download employee documents from the legacy HCM system (UKG Ultipro).

Organize and securely store employee files on internal servers.

Upload and index employee documents into the Workday system.

Track progress and completion status for each employee record to ensure accuracy.

Maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee data at all times.

Identify and escalate discrepancies or missing documentation as needed.

Support overall data accuracy and system transition efforts.

Perform additional administrative or project-related tasks as assigned.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Current student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

Previous administrative, data entry, or HR-related experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
