HR Consultant Job Description (Independent Contractor)

Job Title: HR Consultant (Independent Contractor)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable HR Consultant to strengthen and optimize our company's HR department. This is a project-based engagement for an independent contractor, with no employee-employer relationship. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role, a deep understanding of the Philippine Labor Code, and the ability to implement effective HR systems and processes for a hybrid workforce. The physical or reporting to office arrangements will be agreed upon.

Scope of Work:

HR Infrastructure:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Create and manage a scalable HR system for a hybrid workforce, including both on-site and remote employees.
  • Establish a robust employee record management system.
  • Design and implement an efficient recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Set up a fair and transparent performance management system.
  • Develop compensation and benefits structures that are competitive and compliant with the Philippine Labor Code.

Compliance & Advisory:

  • Ensure all HR practices and policies are fully compliant with the Philippine Labor Code and other relevant government regulations.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Address and resolve complex HR issues in a timely and professional manner.

Training & Development:

  • Train and mentor existing HR staff to ensure the long-term sustainability of the implemented systems.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for management and employees on key HR topics.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as an HR Officer or HR Manager.
  • Proven experience in a company with at least 40 employees, operating with a combination of on-site and work-from-home arrangements.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling HR departments from the ground up.

Skills:

  • Deep expertise in the Philippine Labor Code and other labor laws.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a project from conception to completion.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
