People Operations (HR) Business Partner to join our dynamic team. In this client-facing role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of clients, providing strategic and customized HR support that brings peace of mind and saves them valuable time.
Compensation
$80,000 - $120,000 annual salary depending on experience

What You’ll Do
As a People Ops Business Partner, you will be the go-to HR expert for assigned clients, ensuring HR compliance, positive employee experiences, and tailored support. Responsibilities include:

Employee Relations: Advise on workplace policies, conflict resolution, and supporting a positive work environment, including navigating grievances or disciplinary matters.

Compliance and HR Guidance: Communicate and implement strategies to adhere to employment requirements. Develop forms and tools for internal consistency.

Training Facilitation: Facilitate engaging training programs, to enhance employee engagement, policy awareness, and leadership development.

Performance Management: Create and refine performance evaluation systems and job descriptions, discuss KPIs, and advise on employee development plans.

Compensation and Benefits: Analyze and recommend competitive salary structures, benefits packages, and incentive programs.

Organizational Development: Assist with restructuring, change management, and improving organizational culture or workflows.

HR Strategy and Policy Development: Conduct HR Review and develop a Service Calendar. Craft or update HR policies, handbooks, and procedures to align with business objectives.

HR Technology and Systems: Recommend HR software or tools for payroll, employee records, or analytics.

Employee Engagement: Conduct surveys, analyze employee satisfaction, and strategize initiatives to boost morale and retention.

Duties vary based on the client’s needs and the industry they operate in

Coordinate with client partners (e.g., insurance, payroll, legal)

Translate HR documents and provide live interpretation when needed

Use a CRM to maintain accurate client data

Present and promote additional People Rock HR services

Travel as needed to client sites, including quarterly visits to the Folsom, CA office
What We’re Looking ForRequired:-
Fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written)
-
5+ years of HR generalist experience, with demonstrated expertise in California labor laws

Experience conducting California Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

Strong client service orientation and a passion for HR consulting

Must work with a high degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timelines

Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills

Ability to modify work and communication style based on tasks and who you are working with

Ability to effectively work independently at both an office and remote work location

Able to maintain confidentiality

Comfort with Google Workspace, Microsoft Suite, and CRM platforms

Valid California driver's license or other reliable transportation
Preferred:-
SPHR, PHRca, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP certification

Prior experience in multi-client or consulting HR roles
Position Details-
Type: Full-Time | Exempt

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (flexible based on client needs)

Location: Hybrid – remote work, client sites, and shared office space

Travel: Local travel required. Quarterly travel to NorCal (Folsom), with occasional air travel statewide

Physical: Regular use of laptop, sitting, walking; occasional light lifting
