Job Summary:

The HR Coordinator works collaboratively across the agency acting as a bridge between HR and Bill Wilson Center programs for positive impact. This position will focus primarily on talent acquisition and onboarding and will be a key member of the HR team supporting other functions such as benefits, talent management, leave of absence, HRIS, and employee engagement. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a beacon for our values, enhancing the agency culture through your actions.
  • Leads the talent acquisition process including recruitment, hiring and onboarding. Conducts new hire orientation creating a stellar new hire “experience”.
  • Maintains Paycom Applicant Tracking System (ATS) ensuring data integrity and full utilization of system functionality. Provides ongoing training and technical support to the HR team and hiring managers. Acts as ATS subject matter expert.
  • Collaborates with Payroll, Finance, IT and Facilities to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
  • Builds relationships with community partners creating talent pipelines. Plans and facilitates career fairs and hiring events.
  • Responds to general inquiries from employees and managers regarding HR policies and best practices.
  • Supports the employee benefits programs including open enrollment, benefits fairs and vaccination clinics.
  • Responds to general leave of absence inquiries including FMLA, PFL and CFRA.
  • Supports the talent management process including performance evaluations, goal setting, quarterly check-in’s, and professional development initiatives.
  • Maintains employee files and employee records within Paycom, HRIS system including new hire data, annual pay increases, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Plans and facilitates initiatives that enhance employee engagement, recognition, and retention.
  • Supports agency training initiatives including compliance, safety and those which uphold our Values.
  • Responds to verification of employment requests.
  • Reconciles HR related invoices coordinating payment through Finance department.
  • Completes employee off-boarding process including conducting exit interviews and sharing insights with HR team. Participates in retention strategy discussions.
  • Creates and presents weekly and monthly metrics reporting and dashboards.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Acts in the best interest of the agency.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • At minimum, Associate’s degree however ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field. HR certifications are a plus.
  • Two years of HR Coordinator experience or an equivalent combination of education plus experience.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or GoogleSuite.
  • Familiarity with Paycom or other HRIS systems highly desirable.
  • Exposure to Human Resources practices including federal, state and local laws.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse staff required.
  • Possesses high degree of attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting information in a group setting.
  • Able to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced work environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Acts as a role model within the agency.

  • Employee is regularly required to use hands to type on a keyboard as well as communicate with fellow employees and communicate clearly on the telephone.
  • The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Work Environment:

  • The ability to work in-office is an essential function of the position.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Salary Range:

$68,640 - $75,000 per year.
