About the Role

The HR Coordinator & Recruiter will play a vital role in the success of IndyDRS by managing the full employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Operations Director, this role requires someone who can attract, onboard, and retain top-quality caregivers and support staff while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for caregivers and support staff, including sourcing,screening, interviewing, background checks, and onboarding.
  • Actively seek new avenues to recruit caregivers and support staff, including leveragingcommunity networks and digital platforms.
  • Respond to employment inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct comprehensive orientations to ensure new hires are well-prepared and aligned withIndyDRS’s mission.

Employee Relations & Retention

  • Act as a trusted resource for employees, addressing questions and concerns with empathy andprofessionalism.
  • Implement creative retention strategies to reduce caregiver turnover, including recognitionprograms and ongoing professional development.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a workplace culture aligned with IndyDRS’s core values, ensuring every employee feelsvalued and supported.

Compliance & Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files, including certifications, licenses, and trainingrecords, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Track and ensure compliance with state and federal credentialing requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports, including metrics on turnover, time-to-hire, and retention.
  • Support progressive discipline processes and assist in investigations, warnings, and terminationsas needed.

Collaboration

  • Partner with scheduling coordinators and program managers to align staffing needs with clientdemands.
  • Build relationships with external partners, such as community organizations, employmentcenters, and educational programs, to enhance recruitment pipelines.
  • Collaborate with leadership to plan workforce needs and improve overall employeeengagement.

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport withemployees and candidates.
  • Exceptional multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Technology skills Microsoft Office 365, email applications, etc

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with recruitment and retention strategies for caregivers or similar roles.
  • Proven ability to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Knowledge of compliance and credentialing requirements for caregivers and residential care staff preferred but not required
  • Prior HR and recruitment experience in a high-volume or fast-paced environment preferred

Pay Range: $20 -$25
