HR Coordinator

Human Resources Coordinator – INDY DC

Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing onsite Human Resources support for the INDY Distribution Center. This role supports core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, employee relations, records maintenance, compliance, safety coordination, and employee engagement. The position utilizes ADP Workforce Now as the primary HR system of record. While the role is primarily onsite, limited remote flexibility may be permitted on an occasional basis with management approval.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the primary onsite HR contact for Distribution Center employees.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and process personnel actions using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment including job postings, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and ensure completion of required documentation and policy acknowledgements.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, and HR procedures.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee education.
  • Process and manage Leaves of Absence, including FMLA, STD, and applicable state leaves.
  • Support ADA accommodation requests through the interactive process and required documentation.
  • Collect and document employee relations issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Partner with the HR Manager and Distribution Center leadership to ensure consistent application of HR policies.
  • Assist with workplace safety initiatives, training coordination, and compliance reporting.
  • Support employee recognition programs, engagement initiatives, and onsite events.
  • Provide limited remote HR support when approved, including administrative tasks and employee communications.

Position Requirements & Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of Human Resources experience required.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and HR partners.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

Work Location

This position is primarily onsite at the INDY Distribution Center. Occasional remote work may be permitted based on business needs and management approval. This role is not designated as hybrid or fully remote.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
