Strategic HR Leadership
-
Partner with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with company objectives and long-term growth strategies

Provide guidance and coaching to managers on organizational development, employee engagement, performance management, and workforce planning

Help drive and strengthen ClearFreight’s culture across all offices and departments

Foster a positive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented work environment

Manage employee relations matters, conflict resolution, investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement processes

Support managers and employees through complex workplace situations with professionalism and discretion
-
Promote employee engagement initiatives that support retention and company culture

Oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes across multiple departments and locations

Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and improve recruitment strategies
-
Help develop training, mentorship, and professional development initiatives

Ensure a strong and consistent onboarding experience for new hires

Oversee employee benefits administration, including health plans, leave programs, and 401(k) participation

Participate in compensation planning and market benchmarking to maintain competitive pay structures
-
Ensure accuracy and integrity of HR and payroll-related processes and data
-
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, procedures, and HR documentation
-
Oversee workers’ compensation, leave administration, and other risk-management related functions
-
Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee information
-
Manage and optimize HRIS and payroll systems to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities

Develop HR metrics and reporting to support business decisions and workforce planning
-
Continuously identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred

7+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience

Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices

Experience supporting multi-location organizations preferred

Excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
-
Experience with HRIS, payroll, and talent management systems
-
Logistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight forwarding industry experience is a plus
