Role Overview:
The Payroll Executive with Recruitment responsibility is a dual-role position that ensures accurate payroll processing while supporting the end-to-end recruitment cycle. This role demands attention to detail, compliance with statutory requirements, and the ability to coordinate hiring efforts to build a skilled and engaged workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management (Primary Role – 60%):
- Collect, verify, and process attendance, leaves, overtime, and other payroll inputs.
- Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Gratuity, and LWF.
- Maintain payroll records and generate reports for management.
- Handle employee payroll-related queries promptly.
- Coordinate with finance for salary disbursement and reconciliation.
- Stay updated with labour laws, tax changes, and compliance updates affecting payroll.
Recruitment Support (Secondary Role – 40%):
- Assist in manpower planning and maintain the recruitment tracker.
- Post job advertisements on relevant platforms and screen applications.
- Conduct telephonic screening and schedule interviews.
- Coordinate with hiring managers for interview feedback and final selection.
- Prepare and issue offer letters and appointment letters.
- Maintain candidate database and recruitment MIS reports.
- Support in employee onboarding and documentation.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and statutory compliance.
- Familiarity with HR software (HRMS/Payroll tools) and MS Excel.
- Good understanding of end-to-end recruitment process.
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and multitask effectively.
Qualification & Experience:
- Education: Graduate in Commerce / HR / Business Administration (Preferred: MBA/PGDM in HR).
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing and recruitment support.
- Knowledge of labour laws and payroll compliance is a must.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Payroll Accuracy: % error-free payroll processing each month.
- Timeliness: On-time payroll disbursement and statutory filing.
- Recruitment Turnaround: Average time taken to close open positions.
- Compliance: 100% statutory compliance and audit readiness.
- Employee Satisfaction: Resolution of payroll and recruitment queries.
