An HR manager oversees all human resources functions, including recruitment, hiring, and onboarding; training and development; and performance management. They also ensure compliance with labor laws, manage employee relations and compensation, and develop HR strategies aligned with business goals. Key duties include acting as a link between management and employees and creating a positive work environment.

Core responsibilities

  • Recruitment and onboarding: Develop job descriptions, advertise vacancies, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and manage the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Training and development: Plan and implement training programs, and manage employee performance and development initiatives.
  • Employee relations and engagement: Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, conduct exit interviews, and develop strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Compensation and benefits: Oversee payroll coordination and manage employee benefits programs.
  • Legal compliance: Ensure the organization complies with all relevant labor laws and regulations, and maintain HR records.
  • Strategic planning: Consult with senior management on HR strategy, and develop and implement policies and procedures that align with business objectives.

  • Managing and analyzing employee data
  • Reporting on HR metrics and costs
  • Supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives
  • Handling disciplinary and termination procedures
