Position: HR Executive – Generalist

Department: Human Resources

Industry: Manufacturing Furniture & Metal

Location: As per company requirement

Reporting To: HR Manager

1. Job Summary

The HR Executive (Generalist) is responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, attendance & payroll support, statutory compliance coordination, performance management, and overall HR administration. This role ensures smooth HR functioning and provides support across all HR verticals.

2. Key Responsibilities. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Source and screen candidates through job portals, social media, consultants, and referrals.

Conduct telephonic and face-to-face interviews for blue-collar and staff positions.

Coordinate with Hiring Managers for interview scheduling and feedback.

Manage documentation for selected candidates.

B. Onboarding & Induction

Prepare offer letters, appointment letters, and joining formalities.

Conduct HR Induction for new joiners.

Ensure all personnel files are updated and maintained.

C. Attendance, Leave & Payroll Support

Monitor daily attendance, biometric records, and absenteeism.

Maintain employee leave records and update systems accordingly.

Share monthly attendance data with payroll team.

Assist in resolving payroll-related queries.

D. Employee Engagement & Employee Relations

Plan and execute employee engagement activities (events, celebrations, training sessions).

Handle employee queries related to HR policies, rules, and benefits.

Support in grievance handling and maintaining a healthy work environment.

E. HR Operations & Documentation

Maintain HR MIS, employee database, and updated HR records.

Prepare HR reports such as attrition, recruitment status, attendance, etc.

Handle exit process, resignation acceptance, full & final settlement coordination.

Manage ID cards, uniforms, onboarding kits, and staff amenities.

F. Statutory Compliance Support

Assist in PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, and other statutory compliances.

Coordinate with external consultants for compliance submissions.

Maintain statutory registers and documentation.

G. Performance Management

Support in goal setting, KPI/KRA process, and annual appraisals.

Track probation confirmation and performance reviews.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Good understanding of HR processes and statutory rules.

Hands-on experience with MS Excel, HRMS/HRIS, and attendance systems.

Problem-solving ability and employee-centric approach.

Ability to handle multi-tasking and work under timelines.

4. Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in HR / Personnel Management.

4-8 years of experience as HR Generalist (Manufacturing experience preferred).

Experience in handling recruitment + admin/attendance + payroll will be an advantage.

5. Additional Preferences

Knowledge of PF, ESIC, Factory Act (if in manufacturing unit).

Experience in managing blue-collar workforce.

Ability to coordinate between departments and factory HR.
