HR Executive – Hospitality Industry

Job Summary:

The HR Executive will be responsible for supporting and executing all HR operations within the hospitality group. This includes recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and maintaining a positive work culture across outlets, hotels, or restaurants. The role demands strong communication skills, knowledge of hospitality operations, and adherence to HR and labour law compliance as per state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for all hospitality departments (Front Office, F&B, Kitchen, Housekeeping, etc.).
  • Source candidates through various channels (job portals, referrals, walk-ins, etc.).
  • Schedule interviews, assist in selection, and manage pre-joining documentation.
  • Issue offer and appointment letters.

2. Onboarding & Induction

  • Conduct new employee orientation and ensure smooth joining formalities.
  • Prepare employee files, maintain HRIS/employee database, and update attendance & ID records.
  • Ensure new joiners are briefed on policies, grooming, and code of conduct.

3. Payroll & HR Operations

  • Collate attendance, leave, and overtime data for payroll processing.
  • Coordinate with the accounts team for salary disbursement and reimbursements.
  • Handle employee documentation, confirmation letters, transfers, and exit formalities.

4. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Support the HR Manager in handling employee grievances professionally.
  • Organize employee engagement activities, monthly meetings, and reward programs.
  • Promote a healthy, inclusive, and performance-driven workplace culture.

5. Statutory Compliance

  • Maintain records for ESI, PF, Professional Tax, and other statutory deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with the Shops & Establishments Act, Minimum Wages Act, and other applicable labour laws.
  • Prepare and update statutory registers and coordinate inspections.

6. Training & Performance

  • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating skill enhancement sessions.
  • Track performance appraisals and probation evaluations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR / Business Administration / Hospitality Management.
  • 2–5 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in the hospitality, F&B, or service industry.
  • Knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance (ESI, PF, PT).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR software (HRMS/Payroll tools).

Work Environment:

  • Office-based with regular visits to outlets or hotel units.
  • Requires coordination with operations, kitchen, and management teams.
  • Must be available for urgent HR requirements during peak business hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹48,000.00 per month
