HR Generalist – U.S. Client Operations Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented HR Generalist – U.S. Client Operations Support to join our Lahore-based team. This role will support the HR operations of a U.S.-based client with a multi-state, multi-location, and multi-entity business model.

This is a true HR Generalist role. The position is not focused on one single HR function and is not limited to recruiting, payroll, compliance, or administration. The selected candidate will support the full employee lifecycle, including hiring coordination, onboarding, employee records, timekeeping, payroll preparation, compliance tracking, reporting, and general HR administration.

HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain employee records, HR documents, onboarding files, internal trackers, and shared folders.
  • Prepare and update HR forms, letters, reports, checklists, and spreadsheets.
  • Track pending HR tasks, missing information, deadlines, and follow-up items.
  • Handle employee and business information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Support daily HR requests from local leadership and U.S.-based department leaders.

Employee Lifecycle Support

  • Support recruiting, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and hiring coordination.
  • Maintain applicant trackers and assist with job postings on job boards.
  • Coordinate onboarding steps for new hires across multiple locations, departments, and entities.
  • Track completion of required forms, acknowledgments, trainings, and onboarding documents.
  • Support employee updates, status changes, attendance notes, and general HR documentation.

Compliance, Records & Reporting

  • Track HR compliance items across multiple U.S. states, locations, and business entities.
  • Maintain organized logs for employee documents, policy acknowledgments, training completion, and deadlines.
  • Research basic HR topics when assigned and summarize findings for leadership review.
  • Escalate questions or concerns when a process, document, or compliance item is unclear.
  • Prepare regular HR updates, summaries, and reports for leadership.

Timekeeping, Payroll & Scheduling Support

  • Review timekeeping records, attendance logs, schedules, and payroll-related trackers.
  • Identify missing punches, incomplete records, discrepancies, or items requiring manager review.
  • Organize payroll-related information before payroll deadlines.
  • Track time-off requests, attendance issues, scheduling updates, and payroll support items.
  • Communicate follow-up needs clearly and promptly.

Systems & Cross-Department Coordination

  • Use Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
  • Maintain manual HR trackers and spreadsheets with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Use job boards, HRIS, ATS, shared drives, and other company systems as assigned.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments, supervisors, and business units.
  • Support projects, audits, cleanup tasks, process updates, and special assignments as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Based in Lahore, Pakistan.
  • Strong English reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
  • Full-time availability with flexibility to support U.S. business hours.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Comfortable working with international teams and multiple supervisors.
  • Basic experience with Google Workspace.
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, manual tracking, and data entry.
  • Willingness to learn U.S. HR practices, client procedures, and compliance-related workflows.
  • Professional, reliable, adaptable, and team-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in HR, administration, payroll support, recruiting, employee coordination, or operations support.
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based companies or international business operations.
  • Exposure to multi-state, multi-location, or multi-entity support.
  • Experience in restaurants, retail, hospitality, call centers, or high-volume operations.
  • Familiarity with job boards, payroll systems, HRIS/ATS platforms, scheduling systems, or applicant tracking processes.
  • Basic spreadsheet formula knowledge.
  • Ability to independently research, learn, and summarize HR-related information.

Schedule

This is a full-time position based in Lahore, Pakistan. The client’s U.S. operations generally run between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM Central Standard Time( 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time), and this role will require flexibility to support U.S. business hours. Working hours may change based on business needs, department needs, and operational priorities.

Reporting Structure

This role will report locally through the Pakistan-based department head and will also receive direction and assignments from U.S.-based department leaders. The HR Generalist must be comfortable managing priorities, asking for clarification when needed, and keeping supervisors updated on progress by way of electronic communication groups and task trackers.

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs175,000.00 per month
