About FDM and CCS Insight

FDM and CCS Insight together form a market intelligence group that helps technology companies navigate the connected world through data-driven insight, analysis and advisory expertise. The Role

This is a hands-on generalist role, ideal for someone who enjoys both operational HR work and contributing to longer-term people initiatives. You'll oversee all HR activities — from recruitment and employee relations to policies and compliance — while collaborating with an external consultant to shape our new approach to talent management.

You'll be the go-to person for managers and employees on all HR matters, providing pragmatic, confident and empathetic support in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR

  • Manage the full employee journey, including onboarding, contracts and offboarding.
  • Oversee key people processes including performance management, talent management, succession planning and promotions, ensuring they are applied consistently and support the company's growth and culture.
  • Oversee recruitment, working with hiring managers to attract and select great talent.
  • Provide advice and support on employee relations, including grievances, performance management and absence.
  • Support employee well-being and engagement programmes.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.
  • Manage HR systems, data and reporting.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration.
  • Champion a positive employee experience and an inclusive culture.

Post-Acquisition and Organisational Development

Over the next six months, the successful candidate will collaborate with an external HR integration consultant on the following:

  • Support the integration of FDM and CCS Insight teams following the acquisition, helping to align culture and ways of working.
  • Design and implement a consistent HR approach at the group level, including appraisals, talent management and a development framework.
  • Contribute HR insights and recommendations to leadership discussions and future workforce planning.

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you're:

  • A confident HR generalist with solid experience, at least five years, in a standalone HR role or as part of a small team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where processes are being shaped and improved.
  • Skilled at balancing operational delivery with building trusted relationships.
  • Knowledgeable about UK employment law and HR best practice (CIPD Level 5 or equivalent preferred).
  • Experienced in supporting post-merger or changing environments.
  • Pragmatic, people-focused and able to work independently, while collaborating with others.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to make a real impact in a growing business at a pivotal moment of its development.
  • A key role in shaping the HR function.
  • Collaboration with an external specialist on developing a fresh, modern approach to talent management.
  • Hybrid working and a supportive, flexible and inclusive culture.
