Role Overview
The IR Executive will be responsible for maintaining harmonious employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, handling union matters, and supporting grievance redressal mechanisms. The role requires strong knowledge of industrial relations, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage workforce engagement effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact between management, employees, contractors, labour and compliance consultants.
- Handle employee grievances alongside the HR department and facilitate conflict resolution in a fair and timely manner.
- Support the management in maintaining contractor relationship on manpower hiring, invoice audits, wage negotiations, settlements, and agreements with Labour contractors.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory regulations, and company policies (Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, etc.).
- Assist in disciplinary proceedings, domestic inquiries, and maintain proper documentation.
- Monitor absenteeism, misconduct, and employee behavior to proactively address issues.
- Address queries of labour officials during the warehouse visit
- Assist the PO Team in conducting the employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Provide inputs on policy formulation related to employee relations and labor practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Labor Law, or Industrial Relations (MBA/PGDM in HR preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in Industrial Relations, preferably in a manufacturing or labor-intensive industry.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance requirements, and government regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle conflicts and maintain professionalism under pressure.
