The Human Resources Manager carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, compensation, onboarding, policy and procedure implementation, workers compensation, recruitment/employment, employment and OSHA law compliance, information system, credentialing and record keeping. Ensures human resources strategies align with organizational business goals. Evaluates human resources processes and strategies to determine improvements to be made. To succeed in this position, it is essential to possess good judgement, have excellent problem-solving skills, and can be flexible as job responsibilities and priorities are presented. Essential Functions

Ensures that employee personnel files are appropriately maintained and responds to information requests involving personnel files

Coach and counsel supervisors and employees on Human Resource Policies and Procedures

Provides assistance in handling employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints, in conjunction with other management team members

Provides guidance to supervisors on employee relation and performance management issues
-
Responsible for the coordination of annual performance evaluations
-
Provides direct supervision and responsible for performance management with the HR team

Works with management on any aspects of workplace interventions and investigations related to equal opportunity employment, discrimination, or harassment issues by including appropriate internal and/or external individuals, documenting appropriately, and resolving quickly with reasonable judgment

Works with management to ensure company compliance with all existing compliance, governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and so forth

Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with laws

Completes all other government-required reports to Human Resources

Keeps abreast of current trends and changes to employment laws, and make changes as appropriate

Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations

Provide compliance training for management in areas such as OSHA, FLSA, Workers Compensation, Harassment and other areas covered by federal/state regulations

Assist in training relating to basic supervisor, performance management, discipline, and other topics as needed

Support and provide training as required to employees on HR-related issues. Assist in planning and arranging for external training for employees, as required

Attend training related to human resources and other Company-related issues
-
Responsible for keeping management informed with events happening in the company

Attend company meetings and trainings as required
-
Assists in planning and coordination of company business meetings and events as related to Human Resources
-
Development and updating of HR process manual
-
Recommend, develop, research, and establish Company policies and procedures in conjunction with other management team members
-
Maintain the Employee Handbook, ensuring that acknowledgement receipts are signed and in the employee’s files
-
Work with management to develop and administer compensation programs to ensure equity internally and competitiveness with the external market.

Counsel supervisors on the appropriate compensation levels for both existing employees and new hires as set forth by Partners pay ranges

Directs and assists with voluntary and involuntary terminations
-
Conducts new hire check-in meetings, round table discussions and exit interview; analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement

Back up to Recruiter, Benefits Administrator, and credentialing responsibilities

Required Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
-
4+ years of HR Generalist experience in a variety of functions including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, engagement, and retention or equivalent

Must possess a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications

HR Certification such as: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP

Understanding of federal and state employment laws

Ability to manage several concurrent assignments and work within a fast-paced company

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises all employees in the HR Department
