The Role

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to join our team, managing and developing the full HR remit and employee life cycle at Warp Records, Warp Publishing & Ochre.


Responsibilities

Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on a wide range of HR-related matters and people queries. Coordinate the full employee life cycle and develop new initiatives to ensure employee engagement and an inclusive culture. Support and coach line managers to effectively manage their teams.


  • People Planning: Work with the leadership team to create a comprehensive HR plan to support all companies.
  • Learning and Development: Identify learning needs across the team and establish and develop a relevant program.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead on hiring processes and relationships with agencies to support hiring managers in recruitment. Oversee the onboarding process.
  • Performance Management: Manage and refine our annual review processes, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Employee Engagement: Implement initiatives to drive collaboration and engagement, including DEI initiatives to ensure Warp remains an inclusive place to work where everyone can be themselves and do their best work.
  • Employee Relations: Be the first point of contact for employee relations issues, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure all HR and employee paperwork is completed to a high standard, and accurate records are maintained. Develop and update HR policies in line with UK employment law and industry best practice.
  • Employee benefits. Collaborate with the finance team to manage the administration of employee benefits.
  • Manage the HR platform to ensure accurate record keeping and maintaining the entire employee life cycle (benefits, pay-reviews, HR queries, leave etc).
  • Oversee and build HR alignment across UK & US territories


Required Experience/ Skills


  • CIPD level 5 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a stand-alone HR role in a SME environment.
  • Able to work independently and drive forward projects as well as the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels.
  • Committed to driving and maintaining an inclusive working environment.
  • Experience managing employment relations with the initiative to escalate for further support in complex situations.
  • Tech-savvy, proficient with Google suite.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and best practice people management from previous experience.
