HR Manager, REAL Estate Company Job Summary: The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the estate company, ensuring compliance with legal standards and aligning HR strategy with overall business objectives.
This role requires a professional with a strong HR background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage the unique challenges of the real estate industry, including a potentially mobile workforce and diverse employee roles.
Key Responsibilities: Recruitment and Staffing: Manage the complete talent acquisition cycle, from developing job descriptions and posting vacancies to conducting interviews, evaluating candidates, and managing the onboarding process. This includes roles such as property managers, sales agents, site staff, and corporate personnel.
Compensation and Benefits: Administer the company's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and fair. This may involve negotiating salary and benefits with new hires, managing performance-based incentives for sales staff, and overseeing health plans.
Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee issues, grievances, and conflicts. The manager will mediate disputes, provide guidance to management and staff on interpersonal matters, and foster a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace culture.
Performance Management: Oversee the performance appraisal system by setting key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking employee performance, and facilitating feedback sessions. The HR Manager will coach managers on conducting effective performance reviews that link employee growth to organizational goals.
Training and Development: Identify training needs for different employee groups, such as sales teams needing regulatory updates and site managers needing safety training. This includes planning and implementing professional development programs and managing employee growth plans.
HR Policies and Compliance: Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. Ensure that employee files and records are accurate and securely maintained.
Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with senior management and department heads to forecast workforce needs, develop succession plans, and align HR initiatives with the company's growth strategy.
Administrative Functions: Manage various HR administrative duties, including maintaining HR information systems (HRIS), processing payroll in coordination with finance, and managing leave records. Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree/MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive HR experience, . Prior experience in the real estate, property management, or construction industry is highly desirable.
Skills: o Leadership and Communication: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills to build relationships at all levels. o Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and HR best practices.
Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to resolve workplace disputes professionally and fairly. Technology Proficiency: Experience with HR software (HRIS), applicant tracking systems (ATS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
