Location: SMCHS, Block B, Karachi

Job Summary

The HR Manager will oversee and manage all human resource functions, including recruitment, payroll, HR operations, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, and compliance. This is a hands-on role requiring strong alignment of HR practices with organizational goals while fostering a positive, compliant, and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, including manpower planning, sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate with department heads to understand hiring needs and role requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain talent.

Payroll & Compensation Management

  • Oversee monthly payroll processing in coordination with the Finance/Accounts team.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure timely salary disbursement.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and internal compensation policies.
  • Address employee queries related to payroll, salaries, and benefits.

HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage daily HR operations, including attendance, leave management, employee records, and documentation.
  • Oversee employee lifecycle processes such as confirmations, promotions, transfers, and exits.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of personnel files and HR data.

Policy Development & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with Pakistan labor laws and internal company policies.
  • Handle disciplinary matters, grievances, and conflict resolution fairly and confidentially.

Performance Management & Training

  • Design and manage performance appraisal and evaluation systems.
  • Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning initiatives.
  • Support management in employee development and succession planning.

Employee Engagement & Relations

  • Promote a positive organizational culture and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Act as a bridge between employees and management to maintain healthy workplace relations.
  • Address employee concerns and provide HR guidance to leadership.

Reporting & Management Support

  • Prepare and present HR reports, metrics, and analysis to senior management.
  • Advise management on HR best practices, workforce planning, and organizational development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, payroll management, and Pakistan labor laws.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR/Payroll systems.
