SUMMARY
Day to day human resources management duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Benefits administration for all eligible employees for self-insured medical and dental plans, FSA and fully insured vision and voluntary benefits
- Manage relationships with benefits broker, third party administrator and other benefits vendors, including monthly new hire enrollments, annual open enrollment, flu shot clinics and qualifying event changes
- Provide coaching and counseling to dealership management in the areas of employee relations, compliance, hiring and progressive discipline
- Conduct employee investigations concerning performance, policy violations and compliance
- Oversee recruitment advertising and employee onboarding in a high turnover environment
- Respond to unemployment claims in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Human Resources, Business or related discipline
- 3+ years HR experience at the manager level
- SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to set priorities, multi-task and be responsive to changing needs
- Outstanding follow up skills
Technology Skills:
- Strong proficiency with current Microsoft office products; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with UltiPro, or other HCM a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
